Safe Harbor Cohasset Coalition, the Anchor of Hull, and East Coast Recovery Center welcome the community to join us for the 9th Annual Candlelight Vigil in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, on Monday, August 31st, 2026, from 6:30-7:30 PM on Cohasset’s Town Common.
The vigil will feature words of hope, remembrance, and community strength from a variety of community members, including local clergy, prevention and recovery professionals, youth, individuals in recovery, and families members. We will remember those who have been lost to substance use, uplift our loved ones left behind and acknowledge the strength and perseverance of the many among us struggling with addiction.
In preparation, we invite the community to submit photos of loved ones who have been lost to substance use to be displayed during the event.
International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event that seeks to reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and acknowledge the grief experienced by family and friends while raising awareness about overdoses and overdose prevention. Click the image to learn more.
