Free Webinar: Embracing Uncertainty: How to support anxious teens

Attempting to navigate these stressful times can be a strenuous endeavor families face. This webinar will focus on the effects of our current times and the resulting role that anxiety can play in the family. Parents will learn how to support teenagers through adaptive open communication skills. Plus, how resiliency in the home can be a key factor to helping adolescents thrive in uncertain times.

Presenter Bio: Dr. Terada earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2012 and has been working in the field since then. She has worked in outpatient individual therapy, residential, and inpatient levels of care. Her main area of expertise focuses on complex, multi-symptomatic populations that require unique assessment and treatment skill sets. These populations include individuals who have: Anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, Trauma-related disorders, Substance Use Disorders, Non-Suicidal Self-Injury, Eating and Feeding Disorders, and Mood Disorders. She has treated these disorders in children, adolescents, and adult populations. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral interventions including Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma focused-CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
