From March-April 2021, Cohasset Youth Ambassadors held a spring fundraiser-“Spring Into Action”. Spring plants were available to purchase, included Cohasset delivery and a personal message. Plant varieties included tulips and daffodils, and were carefully selected from Cohasset Village Greenery. Plants were delivered on April 14th.

Youth Ambassadors also included a message about how to safely dispose of unwanted and unused medication along with the plants, as part of one of their many beneficial community service projects. Youth Ambassadors also are hosting an information table at Cohasset’s Annual Earth Day Clean-up on April 24, 2021, providing Deterra medicine disposal pouches, information and safety reminders.

Many thanks to Cohasset Village Greenery, Cohasset REC and Cohasset DPW for going above and beyond assisting Cohasset Youth Ambassadors make this fundraiser a success! The DPW picked up over 90 plants and delivered to Cohasset REC where Youth Ambassadors were provided a space to prep for recipient delivery.  Cohasset Village Greenery helped select the plants, provided helpful suggestions, and gave the Youth Ambassadors a wholesale rate. Please stop by Cohasset Village Greenery for your spring planting supplies and let them know how thankful we are to have a local small business in Cohasset that supports our community!

The proceeds from this event went directly towards supporting the Safe Harbor Youth Ambassador program and the work Youth Ambassadors do towards mental health awareness and underage substance misuse prevention in the community.
